Yes a brainwashed uninterested youth is always good...

I agree as in contrast we have seen what brainwashed well to do GC children can do, put on hoods and beat up 12yo children, they are your future you should be proud.

At least they are not afraid to express themselves. Some GC students were fighting against those idiots... what would happen if your child came up against some grey wolves trying to beat up a GC? Answer me that?

I would be ashamed and the first one to condone it, not make cheap excuses and comparisons to a totally different chain of events. The underlying message is important you have raised an explosive youth filled with hatred ready to explode, this is the future you yourselves have prepared, you should congratulate yourselves as you appear to have no problems with it whatsoever.

And then you came to cry about a bruise because you think you can use it for your propaganda...

Are the 2 connected?, the chain of events that lead up to the Soloman incident was an all out riot people were after one another's blood, even after constant warnings not to enter the danger zone they proceeded with the army there, who are raised to worship the flag and what does Soloman do? try to tare down the flag, well I'm am truly sorry for what happen and it is a disgrace we should all be ashamed, but obviously we have not learned anything to the degree that a gang of thugs from well to families can go on the rampage and beat up 12yo children, yet people like you just play down the incident and the deep undertones its reflects that GC racists attitude are alive and thriving in even the well off families that is more alarming than anything else.

so how is the mentality of the individuals changed in the last 10 years. has anyone got charged? or are they still free to roam the streets for fresh blood?

ps i was under the impression that wolves only hunt at night, i guess you can't really put a pattern of feeding on a pack of hungry wolves.

Birk, thank you for sharing your story and I am really sorry that at the age of 12 you had to have the experience that you did. I am particularly sorry that Greek Speaking Cypriots treated you and your family and other Turkish Cypriots the way that they did. I was not even conceived in 1963 but I am sorry for that you had endured.

I live in Sydney and I shop at the local Turkish owned fruit market at times and get my gorgeous yummy Turkish Pide at the local Turkish owned joint, with extra parsley. Lovely wonderful people.

Guys we are essentially at war with each other so these deaths and beatings are inevitable ........ however they can pave the way to a brighter future so that there are no more Solomous, Kypros Ioannou Petsa (my uncle) no more students @ the English school beaten up .... I am sorry as a Greek Speaking Cypriot for that stupid idiotic attack. Not excusing the Turksih Cypriot student for spitting at someone for wearing a cross but it appears to be nothing less than a racist attack and I thank ful the authorities picked up the coward.

Have they arrested or charged anyone? have they been named? any links? or has daddy had a word in the right ear to get them off the hook.

in any case I feel an apology is necessary. eye for an eye does not work, has not worked and will not work.
