I agree that healthcare is important but what's the deal with:
1- paying social insurance to people who already made their contributions to the system just like the GCc
2- paying people a salary for their work. Do GCs work for free?
3- giving people passports, ids, etc. which are perfectly within their rights.

Why do you need to use this against TCs?

65 οι Τ/κ μαθητές στη Σχολή
NOt using this against them. Merely stating our contributions...social security is paid out and salaries are received because jobs are given to TC's. Its the existence of employment opportunities I wish to highlight here. As far as the passports are concerned why is it their right to apply for a passport Sadik? You don't recognise the ROC so what are they applying for?

As for Cyprus-kill since you love philelefthero so much here is the proof that you were looking for.

So, the Turkish student spat on the Cypriot's shoe because of the cross.

20-25 hooded people came and started beating up people. At least 10 got hit, 5 Turks and 5 Cypriots. One of the Turks, is the one "seriously" injured, who had just a big bruise on his head, but has recovered over night!!! They saw him at school the next day, with no scars, no bruises etc. He had rejected medical care from any Cypriot hospital. (there was no need anyway)

I guess by Turks you mean Turkish Cypriots, and by Cypriots Greek Cypriots.

DT, you are confusing something here...

As an individual, it doesn't matter if I recognize the RoC or not, or what my feelings are towards the RoC. I am not a state or a country myself. Recognition is between the states, and the state of Turkey does not recognize the RoC. We as TC individuals are generally complaining that our rights as part of the communinty which is a founding members of the RoC, have been stolen. We have been kicked out of the RoC, and we cannot excercise our political equality. This does not mean that I will reject a RoC passport, to the contrary I want to excercise my full rights.

So you yourself Sadik pledge allegiance to the republic of cyprus and accept that by holding its passport you are one of its citizens?

If yes, welcome home brother.

Firstly, Klik, thank you for your informative post.

However, you have inadvertantly confirmed what many turkish-CYPRIOTS already suspected - that greek-CYPRIOTS are taught from a young age not to regard us TCs as Cypriot at all...but rather as "Turks".

Having waded through all the dross and lies on this forum I find this honest post to be the most revealing and depressing of all.

To wit the youth of one Cypriot segment does not regard another part as the same.

Truly we have no hope.

Here is the description of the incident by Cyprus Mail today:

"around 20 masked Greek Cypriot youths, who entered the English School grounds and attacked a group of Turkish Cypriot pupils, punching and kicking them."

I find this very disturbing. I think the TRNC must make it clear to the Administration in the South that it will not tolerate attacks against its citizens, and if the South Cypriot Administration is unable to guarantee the safety and lives of Turkish Cypriots then all students from the South should be recalled.

It constitutes an ultimate insult on our intelligence and an ultimate act of hypocrisy on the part of the side whose leadership, it's political world and it's entire propaganda machinery have all turned it into a most basic dogma of their political ambitions “that in Cyprus there is no Cypriot nation but only two separate people, the Greeks and the Turks,” to now complain, protest and criticise the opinion and views of a mere single GC individual that expresses similar ideas like them.

Buckler, you are clueless! What you criticise from what Klik has said, is not the official position of the GC side, but only the one of the Turkish Cypriot community and your “motherland!” Know what you are talking about! Do not be sorry about what one GC youngster says. Be sorry about the official positions of your community and your leadership instead, because they are not different from those of Klik!
