"RoC" arrests people and threatens with 7 years in

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Cypezokyli,
Should the ROC arrest London based TC's who have holiday homes in the TRNC? What do you think? Dont live there now but originally from a 1963 TC refugee family-still have our home as a burnt out shell in kaimakli on the Green Line. This is a hypothetical question by the way as we dont have a home in the north. If we did should we be arrested and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment. Please ket me know what you think.

VP , There is but one Cyprus , and the entire world refers to it as the Republic of Cyprus not in in inverted commas as if doubting the legitimacy of the state. You are brainwashed utterly by foreign influences in denying your nation. It is absurd that the nation of Cyprus is disputed by its own people.

Miltiades,
There is one Cyprus, one people but unfortunately 2 governing authorities. The "ROC" is no more legitimate than the "TRNC" in my eyes as a TC just because one has international recognition does not it make it right. It is still a GC admin, run by GC's for the benefit of GC's. This is superbly demonstrated by its threats to arrest TC's living in the North. The legimate ROC died in 1964 when the TC's were usurped from it-from that time it became an internationally recognised GC admin masquarding as the government of all the island representative of all Cypriots which it is clearly not. Surely you as a fair minded individual can see that.

no tc will be arrested bc he uses the house of a gc reffuggee.

there are some thousands Turkish Cypriots that come to the south every day to work. if that were the case then the vast majority of them should have been arrested.
our goverment is nationalistic , i never denied that.
but they are not that stupid
they cannot afford to do that .
it would be suicidal to do that.
i really dont know how else i can explain that

The wholeness and oneness of Cyprus can be easily put to the test by anyone who is willing to walk or drive North from any location until she reaches the "Green Line", which now is the de facto external boder of the EU and divides Cyprus into the Greek Cypriot Administered area and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Your insistence on the oneness of Cyprus under what you refer to as a "Republic of Cyprus" is unfounded. I and no doubt many others question and will continue to question the legitimacy of a government, which falsely claims to represent a people with which it is effectively at war, a government which cheated its way into the European Union under the false pretenses of being pro-unification, and which now is abusing its newly acquired privileges to demand more concessions from Turkish Cypriots in pursuit of its Hellenistic aspirations.

Your concept of oneness is further repudiated by the fact that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is recognized as a legitimate state by Turkey and the Nakchievan Autonomous Republic, with both of which it maintains diplomatic relations, and has representatives in countries such as Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Israel and many others, while maintaining an observer status in the OIC.

Viewpoint's questioning of the imaginary concept of "a Cypriot nation" is not because he was brainwashed by "foreign" influences, but because he has been disenfrenchised by a government that you support and which falsely claims to be his own as well, but at the same time maintains a hostile policy towards its people of Turkish origin. Your myth of a "Cypriot nation" was blown into pieces when you and your ethnic kin rejected the Annan plan, and you slapped Turkish Cypriots in the face while their hand was stille extended in piece. The damage was done, and with it partition seeled.

With the expected suspension of Turkish membership talks and now that the Annan plan is null and void, partition will become an irreversible process. And you may groan and moan by calling me a "prick", but this will not change the above reality.

The arrests should continue and every one of us should contribute to the information gathering about those criminals that "buy" our properties in occupied Cyprus.

When you say "you" in the above paragraph what do you mean? EU, UN, the World? Everybody not being an extremist Turk that supports crimes and illegalities?

a government which cheated its way into the European Union under the false pretenses of being pro-unification

If we are not pro-unification then we must be pro-partition. Since Turks want partition as well and declare that in Cyprus there are two countries, then what is the Cyprus Problem?

Of course we are pro-unification, pro-liberation, pro freedom for our country from the Turkish occupation!!
And of course those that are not pro-unification are those that force partition and illegalities with 40.000 troops.

The Turks that invented the word "partition" for Cyprus and are now forcing it illegally will tell us that they are or were at any point "pro-unification"?

You are not pro-unification, you are pro-absorption of Northern Cyprus. Being pro-unification involves a willingness to share, but your leader Papadopolous clearly stated in 2004 that he did not want to demote Greek Cypriots from owners of a state to a mere community. Unwilling to share your state with TCs, you rejected the Annan Unification plan in the hope of using your newly acquired EU privileges to force upon Turkish Cypriots a status of a feeble minority. For you Turkish Cypriots are simply a baggage to carry around, an inconvenience to put up with, in order to acquire diplomatically, what you fail to acquire militarily - control of Northern Cyprus.

Pro-unification means having one country shared by its whole population with no racist or other discriminations. Nobody excluded the Turkish Cypriot minority from this, but on the contrary we accepted for TCs to have a lot of additional benefits, given to no other minority in the world (The Turks of Bulgaria, like you, for example, or the Kurds in Turkey).

Cyprus is our homeland, and has been so for 3500 years. Who has military control over the whole or parts of it is irrelevant in this respect.

The Turkish invaders that claim for themselves part of our island will sooner or later leave, like the so many other invaders we had during our history.

Your illegalities and crimes have an expiration date. After that, the norther part of country will be returned to its legal inhabitants that have been ethnically cleansed by those that know nothing else other than stealing the land that does not belong to them.

The legal inhabitants now have the option to apply to a court supervised by the ECHR to get restitution or compenstation and be eventually repatriated to the TRNC as they wish. Of the 67 who have applied, 3 have already been offered their properties, 6 have been paid compensation in full, with the remainder soon to follow. The illegalities and the crimes have indeed reached their expiration date, and are no longer a consumable propaganda tool that would satisfy your appetite for acquiring control of northern Cyprus and subjugating its Turkish Cypriot people.
