How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

so stop the threats. become a province and outside the eu. walk away rather than being ridiculed.

i would say your dreams come true.

please hold back the crocodile tears and stop the caring, with friends like you who the hell needs enemies?

What "story" are you referring to ?

You are displaying a great deal of pent up anger and a desire to get even by asking us to become a province of Turkey which is not a threat and would be our choice if we deiced to proceed that way. Whats your problem is that you will have lost any hope of getting back 1/3 of Cyprus, you must be happy with this as you have time and time again told us to walk away and join Turkey.

I am not saying CYprus should use it veto or not, all I'm saying is that you will be a dearer price than the GC's. If you're not carefull someone might call a bluff and you will be the ones trying to convince us that we can live together.

Do you really think so? The point is a disinterested Turkey will not be in your best interests as for us begging to live with I doubt this very much as if we want to we can do that right now.

As for who treats you better, if you think another 100,000 settlers from deepest anatolia landing on your doorstep is better than a constitution governed by the EU then we have bigger problems to sort out here.

You seem to have more of a problem with that than we do, the security, economic and morale support Turkey provides Tcs is unquestionable. This something we never had with GCs and at this rate never will, we were always second class and discriminated against, this was GC democracy and human rights for all Cypriots.

Your view and persistence in begging us to become a province of Turkey is displayed with your usual venom and hate, as if you are inflicting a punishment on the TCs. You fail to realize that many Tcs would prefer becoming a province of Turkey than joining the south, that real sad as it is directly a reflection of your own big headed arrogance confrming why we should never reunite.

I really don;t see the point of any hatred or anger being directed here. The point we are makng is very simple. Would the TC's be better off in a Turkey that is not on a path to the EU anymore? Or would they benefit more from joining the ROC as equal citizens of the EU.

I know for sure that there are fans for both arguments as I saw for myself the stampede to obtain a Cypriot passport as soon as movement on the cease-fire line was aloud. I believe even Denktas's grandson applied for a Cypriot passport.

Objectively speaking I think thi TC population is merely trying to hedge their bets. On the one hand we are suspect of the GC's but on the other we have more in common with them than some settler who lives on the border with Iraq on farms. I strongly believe that if Turkey ever annexed (officialy) the occupied areas and stopped the old TRNC line we would see an influx of a good 50% of TC's flock to the south.
