Danielle I wasnt talking about you being ugly on the inside. I just didnt understand why Rulla attacked someone she didnt know. Humanist is right. This is the time of the internet.

Well i am not against meeting people from the net...actually i did that 2 times not for dating but for photographic reasons.
Internet dating has proved to be successful for some, but statistics show it is not always successful for many, and the price for their internet dating experience in spades.

I found my girlfriend online and she is VERY beautiful. Like danielle she was new to Cyprus and she is a shy person that would not go out to cafes and clubs to meet guys. I saw her online in one of the Instant Messengers I contacted her and since then we are together for several years

Internet has some risks because you never know if the person on the other side is telling the truth about his/her gender/age/looks. But other than that it is no different and can actually be better because you judge the other person based on character FIRST and then on looks.

I did meet my husband on the internet. We have been together for 7 years and married for 6. We have a 4 year old.

i guess what suits one person dosent always suit all.and if you going to try to meet poeple on the net i guess Nikolas is right do it safely.nad i apolegise dannielle i had no right to call you ugly what is ugly anyway everyone has something to offer.

Yes safety is very important. When you meet someone for the first time, make sure someone knows where you are and if possible who you are meeting.

i used to consider it really sick to meet people on the net...
in the end I ended up doing it also through cypriot forums.

not to date, but to come into contact with tcs.

in one case actually (besides meeting in cyprus) we were invided and spend the night at the appartment of a tc who lived at the time in another german city. he invided us wihtout knowing who we are, and we accepted without really knowing who he is. really nice experience
