There were many at the UN barrier as well... And of course not everyone was expected to be out on the streets or at the stadium. That's why the stage was set right at the center of the court and not in front of a green seat stand(behind the basketballs regularly), since the students were supposed to stay in front of the stage. I was on the green sector though, as many were ;) The stadium was 80% full...

P.S: There are at least 1000 people behind the one who took the picture :)

About the illegal occupation that YOU force against us, Viewpoint.

Why should people demonstrate against Papadopoulos or AKEL? If they don't like them they can simply not vote them.

On the other hand the occupation of our country is forced illegally and the people do not have many ways to express their disgust against those that support such crimes and illegalities.

Not a very good turn out then? only 1000 GCs out of 800.000 people 0.125% of the population protested, you seem to have no support Piratis, in 10 years time no one will even bother to turn up. 40% of your own people want agreed partition give it another 5 to 10 years and this will reach well above 50% that's where this problem is going and if you cannot see it you are blind.

I think it's great that GC schoolchildren have the day off on TRNC day as well. Another holiday...another celebration.

It's wonderful that irrespective of which side we live on we can all take time off and reflect on the peace and security that the establishment of the TRNC has brought.

Funny tho', I'd have thought the GCs would have preferred to ignore somethg like this as according to them it's merely "pseudo".

Oh well - enjoy the holiday everyone!!
