The demonstration at Eleftheria!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Viewpoint » Thu Nov 16, 2006 11:39 am

Many of yesterday’s protests appeared to have taken place in McDonalds, Burger King and other fast food joints, for the younger schoolchildren, while the older ones manifested their opposition to the occupation in the trendy caf?s.

Quote from todays CyprusMail....

1) We will not accept the "solution" that partitionists like you can commit to (partition)

2) When the right time will come Cyprus will be liberated, probably to your displeasure I am afraid.

You are very good at saying you want democracy and human rights for all Cypriots but you do not have not got a clue of how to get there otherwise we would have produced a plan both sides can commit to. The desire and will on both sides is non existent in time you to will come to believe this.

How to get there involves ending the illegalities and currently we do not have the power to do it since it is obvious that the Turkish occupation will end only when the Turkish army is forced to leave.

There is no doubt about what the reality is today. This is why we should form our policies in ways that will affect the future realities for the benefit of Cyprus, democracy and human rights.

Of course, Dalaras is fake. The Cyprob arose only for Dalaras to get the opportunity to perform for a free Cyprus. The occupation will never cease to exist because of the demonstrations by the obese Cypriot kids who would do anything to miss a day's lessons. Neither will we solve our problem with noise making and other third world manifestations. As long as we lack the political will to form a BBF based on the equality of the two communities we can expect the cementing of partition to continue. This is what Papadfopoulos and Christofias want so that they can clink to power and share between them the spoils. Piratis will one day wake up and face reality, I hope.
