Does TURKISH REPUBLIC refers to turkish like republic? Having the army and the deep state controlling all aspects of life. something like a banana republic..poor you!

I really don't see what it is you are celebrating. Are you celebrating the fact that you are an unrecognised entity in the world? The fact that your policy of over 20 years has failed and the UN/EU/Commonwealth etc has not budged from that position? the fact that you do not even have a post code or International dialling number?

If you respond the way I think you will respond saying " we are celebrating our freedom from the tyranny of the greeks" then that should be the day of the turkish invasion...

I wouldn't celebrate a failure with such vigour if i were you...

We are celebrating that we have our own space away from people like you, that we have 40.000 to protect us, and the sun shines without the "majority" trying to fuck our lives up. In short we celebrate the division which you have to stomach everyday when you wake to the site of the TRNC flag to remind you of your sins or until of course the swing in power goes your way :lol:

The fact that we do not have to live side by side with the likes of Piratis and co calls for a celebration in itself. To be able to sleep without the fear of being murdered by my so called neighbours who hate us with a passion is reason to celebrate.

We may not be internationally recognised but at least we can live in peace and dignity.

You should all be reminded that we voted YES to the plan which would have been the end of TRNC. You voted NO and by doing so shot yourselves in the foot yet again.
