There is an international school in Nicosia, but I'm told the annual fees are close to 12,000 dollars.

Leigh,
What area are you moving to. There are plenty of local schools (non fee paying) A friend of mine put his two girls straight into the local school and by all accounts it has been a great success. Another big factor will be the age of your son, the younger he is the better he will adapt.

Hi Leigh,My wife,4 year old daughter and I are doing the same thing. We fly into Cyprus ,permanently on the 2nd Dec 2006.We are hoping to live in Larnaca, and have been told that the best thing is to place Freya into a local school. The advantages are obvious,in that she will grow up learning the local language naturally, for us thats fantastic!! I hope your move goes well, and things work out as you would wish...............Take it easy!! All the best, Rob and family.

Leigh you will have to go to the school to enroll him. It will not cost a thing.

To be honest,Leigh,I think its much of a muchness if you catch my drift.I get the impression that if you try and fit in with the local people the nicer things will be.We have no intention of retaining any British ways when we come over there.I want us to be as Cypriot as we can.I love the people and their way of life, and I just want us to fit in with them.
