Leigh,
I asume from your vagueness of where you want to live that you are either financially independant or will be looking for work. Be careful! A lot of people are finding to their cost work is not well paid here. The cost of living is generally less than the UK but has risen dramatically since Cyprus joined the EU. The average cyprus wage as far as I can tell is £600 to £800 per month. Read some of the other posts lately especially on things like electricity cost to give you a good idea of how things are going.

Good luck when you go to the bank and everyone, starts pushing in-front of you ... then we'll see if you love the way of life. No offence to fellow Cypriots. Just tellin it how it is.

And here are the Cypriots on either side arguing who and how much of the land they need to possess. When it is aparent to me that the British own Cyprus and no one would soon give a damn about the Cyprus Problem. Good thinkin Britain all going acording to plan. Problem Solved

Leigh,My experience of Cyprus is that the better you treat the Cypriots the better they treat you, which is the same anywhere. They have their own way of doing things, and seeing as its their country,we have to accept that.Looking at the bigger picture,I would rather be in Cyprus than England,as I am sure you would. There seems to be much negativity on these pages, but the people who write them still remain in Cyprus,so it cant be all that bad can it?????  I hope you and yours settle in well, and I hope things work out the way you would wish.Be safe be happy, and have a great time.................Rob :D :D :D

Depending on your son's natural ability, I would suggest you enrol him any one of the local schools either in or around Larnaca, he will quickly adapt and I am sure he will be well received by his peers, the education available here is excellent and the pupils generally conduct themselves in a most acceptable fashion. Welcome to Cyprus, arrive here with confidence that all will be well with you and your son, Good Luck in all your aspirations.
