Great pix. Have told my colleagues about the coast road just past the fort in Larnaca, showed them you pic to prove I wasn't exagerting about how close to the edge the road goes.

great photos you got a good camera what is it?

Recognise a few of thoses places especially that tree will all the crap hanging off it. I got a few photos of when i was in Cyprus but id have to scan them all, no digital cam 5 years ago.

The tree where rags are tied, for wishes to come true etc. is actually used by many Sri Lancans for a Church. You walk down the steep steps to the catacoombs and on Sundays you will alwasy find people in there praying. There are perhaps a hundred icons, candles are light and prayers are said. I was there on Tuesday and a lady was sweeping up - she told me thast 5 years ago she had a terrible foot problem, but that praying there had cured her, So, in thanks, she keeps the place clean.

People leave small gifts and messages there, hidden in the walls; very fascination and so few people know about it.
