I think that's just in Paphos. It has been going on for a couple decades at the least.

Which Pics were taken in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus? and what was experience like crossing north?

the only pics I have from the north are of Belapais
this is my grandfathers village and it was very emotional for me to visit....I cant remember it at all but I was only 2 when I had last visited.....
I was peeved at having to pay 2pnds to go see the abbey...my mother used to play there as a kid during he summer holidays in the village....

we only visited my husbands village Kapouti, Morphou and Bellapais and Kyrenia
Morphou was rundown - reminded me of Egypt!
Lapithos looked amazing...I was suprised to see it so mountainous - beautiful!
still, I had a very strange feeling whilst there...no fear but just the unfairness of it all!

good thing with Digital you can take loads of the one shot and then
choose the best one! ha!!

there are some great 'cyprus' groups on Flickr.com
