Temporary Residence Permit Questions...

Postby orokliniservices » Mon Nov 06, 2006 2:10 pm

Hi, I received my "Republic of Cyprus Temporary Residence Permit" or Pink Slip in the post today. I am not an EU member therefore need this to live legally in the country. This permit was supposed to be issued for one year, but in fact was only issued for 6 months.. It is valid until the 30th of January 2007. It needs to be renewed at least 1 month prior to it's expiry date.. my question is.. do i have to go through the same process all over again, providing bank statements, 2 photos, copy of our rental agreement, 40 pound fee etc.. the gentleman at the larnaca office is very unclear as to what is actually needed..
If anyone out there knows what i need, and what the process is for renewing the permit, can you please shed some light!!
Many Thanks.

You don't need to go through the same process entirely again. You need to take the original permit along with the little brown book with you to the Migrations renewal department and you will fill out a renewal form. I paid 5 pounds for my wife. If your sponsor is an EU citizen, they should renew for the duration of the sponsors permit. If you need more info try www. moi.gov.cy they have both english and greek versions. Hope this helps.
