Simonwjones. Like several other contributors I doubt whether your friend really exists but then if he is as naive as you appear to be may I suggest you start to educate yourself as to the reasons why Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974.

If my friend didnt exist then why the hell would i write the topic you fool. I do have a life away from my pc you know. This is a forum where people share knowledge and advice, which is what I am doing.

....next I'll be talking to my imaginary friend and sending myself Christmas cards!!!

He is going out first week in December, and plans to get taxi from Larnaca to North. I will keep you posted and let you know how my imagniary friend gets on - thats if I haven't been sent to looney house.
