Talks between the Fins and the Turks LEAKED OUT

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby pitsilos » Sat Nov 04, 2006 1:56 am

this matter is between the eu and turkey. it has nothing to do with individual members.

the way i see it is that the roc was more than willing to get turkey out of a jam, and turkey refused.

its not looking good guys. 46 years of hassling to get a date and 2 years to end the myth by putting the last nails in the coffin

yes lets all sit around and blame the roc, forgetting this ain't about the roc versus turkey, but the eu versus turkey. sometimes people need to be reminded that the world has indeed moved on.

ps...what other excuses are you guys going to come up when the report mentions other bad, bad, bad thingies?

Yes Bg_Turk, but it is turkey that has the 40,000 troops there and it is turkey that is calling the shots. The TC unfortunately are just pawns here for turkey to use as excuses.

The Turkish troops are primarily there to guarantee the security of the TRNC and its citzens.

If TCs and GCs can reach an agreement between themselves, Turkey will have to honor it.

Turkey should have no say in the future of the Turkish Cypriots, and they alone should determine their own future. In this respect any mainland Turkish presence in the negotiations between Cypriot Greeks and Turks is undersirable.
