Hi, I'm actually looking for a friend who wants to buy a Playstation 2 for her son. Does anyone know either the cheapest place to get one here or know of anyone who is selling one, second-hand? Thanks

I think PS2 is very cheap nowadays and is not worth it buying second hand. Go to shops like Brent Cross in Limassol I think they are about 50 quid.

Lynne new generation platforms are already on the market. XBOX 360 has been out there for a year and you can get the basic model for 100 quid.

PS3 and Nitendo Wii are due this christmas...

Game and game console prices are always higher in Europe than in the US. I think the basic xbox360 model costs about 300 euros so it should be around 180 cyprus pounds. I would recommend the old xbox over the ps2 though, since there is much more one can do with it than play games (after some modification that is). If you are only interested in games though, go for the ps2
