i dissagree - maybe it's not a big thing elsewhere, but anyone who is caught out on the 30th November (At Andrews day) can tell you it's pretty huge- lots of partys and pressies too.Usually though, you just go to the house of the person who is celebrating,and as you suggested in the first post, it's an excuse for lots of food, and even more drink!

Only St Helen's / St Constantinos Day we have cakes all week at work. As there are so many Eleni's and Costas they take turns every day to bring something in. Not a good week if you're dieting
