anyway, the irony of it all..is that there is a Syrian military ship parked in Limassol port due to fire aboard... now, Major Syrian military ship and a second biggest Aircraft carrier in the world in the same port :D...

And just found out from wikipedia: It has been reported that this earlier-than-scheduled deployment is heading for the Persian Gulf, where it will be within striking distance of Iran on approximately October 21 - two weeks prior to the midterm elections.

yes i haver been trying to find something i read earlier re this battle group being prepared for action as apposed to an exercise. something like a "ready to go status" that can only be maintained for a period of weeks prior to commitment of the force. but no luck :roll:
