Typically, a poolman will charge £60 pm plus chemical costs.

Alternatively you can have a Salt Chlorinator system - which also requires some degree of maintenance, though the manufacturers will not tell you this.

How does a Salt Chlorinator work?

A Chlorinator produces its own chlorine when mildly salted water is passed through the Salt Cell (salt is made up of two elements- sodium and chlorine). The chlorine dissolves instantly in the pool water, going to work immediately to safely sanitize the pool.

Hi Andri, Are you happy with the Salt Water pool? I have heard that overall it is better than having chlorine? Would appreciate your comments - thanks Les

I am very happy with it Les. It is about the same to me, but just has the feel of sea more than chlorine.
