I have never heard of bad wiring called leaking before but maybe checking your wiring and your meter might not be a bad idea.

Our last bill was a reasonable £70. I did expect it to be more. A bit. But there you go. I'm glad you are questioning and refusing to pay bills that are obviously incorrect. I really would be astonished is somebody just shelled out for a years electric in 1 bill!

Well Andri, i do think if someone advertises a service on here, should do their homework on the spelling, it doesnt take an genius to bother to find out if its correct. Let alone the obvious ploy to advertise his services on here. And damn i broke my vow never to answer your posts again. So butt out and stop pretending your a nice person because i know your not.

It is funny because I was talking to Cyprusgrump and not you, but you always want to butt in where you don't belong. So you broke your vow who the heck cares. I am not gonna butt out just cause you told me to, you are not my boss so take a chill pill and try finding a boyfriend that wants something to do with you, it might help- i never claimed to be nice.

About Leak
Yes its the most common problem.
And one simple way to check it with out call an electrician is
to turn off all the lights ,all the electrical appliances in home, everything in the house (fridge,tv,computers,etc) but do not take out fuses from the sockets...just turn it off.

After you switch off everything check the electrical meter for 20-30 min.
If is moving thats mean you having a loss of electricity (Leak)

Thats mean you pay for electricity you didn't use.
Is like a car with a small hole in the petrol tank.

If my advert here is not allowed i will remove it,just let me know :)

@unique_earthling
Thanks for telling me, i didn't notice that spelling mistake

Your links relate to an entirely different phenomena to that claimed by nikolas.

Your links talk about electricity consumed by appliances left on in ‘standby’ mode when you are not using them.

This is entirely different to suggesting that hundreds of Watts are lost by electricity ‘leaking’ from the live to earth and costing you money on your bill.
