afternoon all
moving over in 07 from plymouth england, coming over in 2 wks to look at areas etc
can anyone give me an idea of costs 4 installing and running house phones , and internet charges
tv dish would be nice, is that expensive?
looking 4ward to living there amongst the locals
both retiring

hi eric, internet charges are available from www.cytanet.com.cy or www.primehome.com
i have a house phone but its much cheaper to use my mobile, call charges are a fraction of what you are used to in the uk.
Finally i just had a 3.5 meter dish fitted on friday and it was £850 cyp
bring your own sky box and make sure it isn't unplugged from the mains for to long.

Once you get your broadband fitted you can use things like Skype, its free. We have a phone line, but never use it, only for incoming calls and the odd fax.
Mobiles are cheaper though as said. Best bet is PAYG on Areeba, top up and you get 50 free texts and if you top up 8cyp or more you get an extra quid as well.
