its very easy, when you get to the terminal building.
instead of going to through passport control go straight ahead to the small customs office infront of you.
you will probably be asked to go and collect your bags when you have done this go back to the customs office (back through passport control) and the dog will probably just be outside the terminal building.
my wife had stuck a photo of the jack russells into the pet passports and the customs guy just looked at those and had a brief glimpse at the dogs and that was it.

infact even taking the dogs through manchester airport was very easy and this was at the time of high security.

they charged £4.77 per kilo excess baggage + £20 per dog handling charge that was with BA

Hi Susan we hired our car from Doros V.G. and the cheapest at the time came from Paphos returned car to Aiya Napa, have you bought in Kapparis, if not dont until you check out the other areas, Kapparis is known as little England, lived there for a year and then moved away, really happy where i am now. Oh and welcome to the sunshine of Cyprus.

If your dog has it's pet passport, you must take it to your own vet in the UK within 48hours of flying for a full check up.
Once this has been done nothing else has to be done at Paphos.

also if you haven't sorted your pet passport in the uk (it takes about 6 weeks) you will have lots and lots of expensive hassle if you wish to take the dogs back to the uk.
it cost me about £300 per dog give or take.

the paphos part is simple and there is no cost at all.

With a pet passport no you just collect your dog and get on your way no problems at all

It must be different at Larnaca then, we had no end of hassle. Our dogs had spent almost 7 hours in the carrier boxes and when we got there no one seemed to no where they had been taken. Eventually we found them in the customs shed, but they still wouldn't let them out of the boxes till the vet had checked everything. They then proceeded to charge us 17cyp for the privilege. After spending an hour waiting for the vet and him checking everything, they finally let us let them out. It is very stressful for the dogs, as they don't know what is going on. We came on CA, so had to land in Paphos first, then take off again for Larnaca. A happy ending though, they now live a happy life here in Cyprus. :D

Use one of the big car rental companies, they don't mind where you drop off the car.
