You say you have pet passport? Then the injections should be up to date and the Rabies one too and microchip. Have they had the flea, tick and worm treatment? They have to be checked by a vet at least 48 hours to departure and they will give you a letter saying all is well.
All this info needs to be shown to the vet when you arrive.
We brought ours through cargo, same flight as us, these pet carrier firms are really expensive, so my advice is don't use them, you can do it yourself. Whatever airline you fly with, just ask them about sending them cargo. Same flight as you, so no problem.
