Anyone know what the limit for the number of points for driving offences on someone's license before they take it away?

Here in the UK its 12...i think they go by the same system out there in Cyprus right?

I'm researching a story on drink-driving.

But having said that, to NOT speed in Cyprus is difficult because if you try and do the speed limit people overtake dangerously and cut you off, or honk at you.

I've learned to ignore them though.
