The Cyprus Issue: A British View Again

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Sotos » Wed Oct 25, 2006 11:23 pm

On holidays to the north what proganda have I encountered. NONE.

Thats because you believe what the Turks tell you but you reject what we say. Isn't it obvious?

I don't tell them that Turkish Cypriot young ladies are really good looking.

And Greek Cypriot young ladies are not? Man you showed us enough of your love for Turks and your hate for Greeks. We need no more of your racism.

Greek Cypriot propaganda is very slick and professional and talking to friends who have only been to the south they have nearly all accepted it all. Not for one second did they realise that Turkish cypriots had been killed by Greeks too or that after independence a massacre of Turkish villagers was carried out in December 1963.

Between 63 and 68 during the intercomunal conflict massacres against both sides happened and both sides has some 100s of casualties.

Now tell me how those 5 years that both sides suffered, can excuse the 32 years of illegal occupation, and the ethnic cleansing of 200.000 people?

According to you because TCs suffered too during a short period of time, the GCs should suffer forever! Great logic Mr. Turkophile.

You apparently digested the Turkish propaganda so nicely since you apparently judge based on where the best beaches are (yes, they stole some of our best ones) and based on how girls look (!!!).

Do I own a propery in the north? NO

But I am sure you wouldn't mind to "buy" some cheap property stolen from the "evil" GCs and given to a "nice" person like you, isn't it?

There are many people like Noaxetogrind who have visited both the North and South making up their own minds from what the have seen and read. Your venom and complete hate for anyone who displays a view remotely close to the TC side is branded all sorts of shit. "Turkophile" You really need to get a grip not everyone has to agree with your logic and viewpoint and if they don't it does not make them wrong.

In your world it doesn't make them wrong, but in reality it doesn't make them civilized either.

If "TC view" you mean the insistance on the illegal occupation of Cyprus by Turkey, the insistance for our ethnic cleansing and the violations of our rights, then no, there is nothing to like in people that support such things against me. Would you like somebody that said that your human rights should be violated and that you should be forcefuly ethnically cleansed from your homeland? In fact advoating such illegalities and crimes is a criminal offence in most countries.

In the same way I respect the human rights of other people I demand that they also respect mine. If they don't, I have every right to respond accordingly.

Im branding them uncivilized because of having the same mindsets like the people that bought holocaust victims gold teeth for jewelry. People that would make uncivilized purchases just to see their investment pay off. Next you'll tell me all the icons that got stolen from all the Greek churches after 1974 are your property too. Keep digging.

And be sure the Nazis had some lame excuses for their crimes and illegalities as well. The Jews were "evil" that deserved to be punished, just like GCs are "evil" that deserve to be ethnically cleansed, murdered by the thousands, raped, being used as guinea pics in biochemical laboratories etc. What those unethical people would do for profiting on our loss is unbelievable.

Sotos, your English appears to be quite good but you apparently did not understand the fact that I did not encounter any Turkish propaganda on either visit but certainly did so on the south. It is a fact whether you like it or not. It is not a matter of rejecting what you say, it is an observation of what I have seen and encountered and what I have read by non-partial observers and historians. I guess when you have such entrenched ideas is is difficult to accept even the meerest hint of anything which does not agree with them 100%.

Quite where do you get the idea that saying the north is a pleasant place, the people nice too and pointing out that they suffered as well is 'racism' is beyond human comprehension. Sri Lanka is an island much, more beautiful than Cyprus , the beaches there are out of the world and the people are mega friendly and no propoganda....... oh here I go again being racist. St.Lucia is very similar...... wow, I must be the most racist person there could possibly be. Perhaps you have used the wrong word.

Piratis, yes after the massacres were started by the GC side there were numerous others on both sides but as I said Greek propoganda is good. I agree Turkey should pull out of the north as there is no longer a possibility of the Greek Cypriots starting more killings and the perhaps you will start to forgive and forget but I get the impression that you are one person who will not entertain such an idea.

I pointed out to my friends that the beaches in the north is one of the many reasons to visit good and posted the note saying the young ladies are attractive but for you to say that either of these facts has anything to do with propoganda is an inane argument.

I resent what you say growuptcs.

I had more Jewish realatives from Holland exterminated in concentration camps that you know missing persons in Cyprus. A Belgian relative (Christian) was fortunate to survive as a slave labourer.

I bear Germans no grudge. I would happily make friends and share a meal and drink with them any time.

I do not own a property in Cyprus.

Never have I heard so much claptrap and unless you can reason sensibly I suggest, using a slang word, that you shut your trap.
