They are a marketing company!!!! There was court case concerning them.....but can't remember when, maybe Nigel can. If you sell through a registered estate agent you are able to claim back some of the cost, but not if the company are a marketing comany....or so I heard.

The Estate Agents' law is being re-written (yet again!) to facilitate returning 'foreign' Cypriots, who are unable to write in Greek/Turkish, becoming registered Estae Agents. This will of course open the door to all EU Nationals.

What a load of b*****s. All agents, everywhere (UK, Cyp, Slovakia everywhere, and Marketing Companiese, they market property for the vendor. What a load twoddle.(not saying your twoddling susanbunny, just the system over there). There are now even more 'Marketing Companies' in Cyprus than there are Opticians now!!

I think BuySell describe themselves as a 'technology company'; might pop in with my PC which has been running slowly this week, to see if they can fix it LOL!

be practical

Postby loneforce » Fri Oct 13, 2006 12:30 pm

I have been loking at BuySell for over a year now and prices are average on most cases. The advertising service is good (thats what they are), I don't know if they try to rip you off but I think they have lots of experience with real estate due to their widespread acceptance and probably volume of sales. Well they are not real estate agents, why do they have to be? they just help you advertise and search.
Even if you go to a registered real estate agent and he wants to sell to you a 200,000 property (thats alot of money) would you trust him? It's not about trust at all, he wants to make money so you need to get an opinion from a third party. So if you are spending a huge amount on money do get a property valuation from an independent person first!
Thats my opinion anyways

HI SIMON

No, that is just a spelling error; instead of the words: 'Marketing' or 'Technology', inadvertanly they had written 'Estate' :-)

Simon, why have you got yourself so worked-up over these ‘dodgy’ estate agents?
