Actually I had just returned from holiday and my suitcase was lost at Heathrow but luckily it turned up the following day so I did believe him. It sounded so plausible.

Not so good is that I also provided him with material for some of the blinds..........

Lets see if anyone else has reported him to the police when I go tomorrow morning.

I am very impressed with the policemen at Limassol Police Station. I went along there the other morning to report the episode. The policeman at the desk took my French passport and began chatting in French. The Englishspeaking policeman who took my complaint was very helpful and within minutes had found the name and address of Andy in Paphos and then called the police station in Paphos to follow up.

I have no news to date but am still hoping.
