Yes, we have the licence to operate in Cyprus!

There are limits on how much you can transfer. They vary from 1.5Gbytes to over 80Gbytes per month.

The beauty of the satellite connection is that it operates anywhere in Cyprus – even if you don’t have or can’t get a telephone line or GSM signal. Some of our customers live so far away from the major towns they don’t even have electricity or water connected to their homes!

Satellite is also an excellent stand-by or backup solution if you need 24/7 connection and the Cyta service goes down (as it did at the weekend).

If they dont have electricity how do you connect the modem ? they use a generator ??

Yes I am sure you have an ISP license but what about the customer who is virtually installing a stationary Satellite earth station at his house possibly classified as a VSAT. Doesn't he need to have a licence since he is using spectrum? Isn't there an extra cost to that?

Some have generators, some have solar panels providing electricity and stored in batteries.

Strahd, we have all the necessary VSAT licensing.

any ideas if there's a website that compares the isp providers? I want a good deal and I want to see if I can get service at my house cuz now I'm still forced to use friends' computers.
