Thanks Twinkle,When I said flexible,I suppose Imeant as long as we can earn enough between us to live acceptably then that will do.We are both open minded about work and don't go searching for top dollar.Just enough to live on ,and more importantly live without the stress!!! I have applied to a few people, and sent my CV,I'll just see what turns up now. Many thanks for your advice and help, take care and be safe. :D :D

hi
just thought i'd throw in my 2 pence worth--
unfortunately it is pretty negative on the employment issue, and the wages are hard to come to terms with, especially if you have a good salary in the uk.
we have been here 3 months, and i must admit it still shocks me when i hear some slaries.
my husband is working, but i am considering setting up my own business, as i don't have the heart to work full time for 400 puonds a month!!
saying that, if you can get your finanaces in order you probably won't regret it.
everyone i've spoken to says you have to give it 2 years, and if you make that ,you'll never want to go back!!
best idea is to come out for a few weeks (months would be better) :do your research and apply for a few jobs if you can.
fortunately rental can be reasonable!
which part of cyprus were you considering moving to?

Hi Chris,Thank you for your advice. We are hoping to move to Drosia,in Larnaca. We have put a deposit on a rented house, and are really looking forward to coming out there. The wages issue is a bit worrying, but initially as long as we can earn a living wage then thats great. We do need to top up the income I have and would need to earn any thing from 400 Cyp between us. We dont mind what we do for a living. Its a bit daunting, but its got to be better than being here.Hope to hear from you soon.Rob. :)
