There aren't enough animals and birds in Cyprus to sustain the hunters.

I thought the government had farms raising birds and rabbits for the hunters to shoot and let them out when it was in season. Maybe I had understood wrong.

Its sad but true.

Two friends were out hunting when one of them accidentially discharged his rifle and shot his friend in the back.

Distraught, he rang the emergency services on his mobile requesting aid.

"I've just shot my friend, I think he's dead!" he cried, "what can I do?"

"Stay calm!"replied the operator,"first, make sure he's definitely dead!"

THe operator listens and hears the weeping man run from the phone, then there's the sound of a shot.

Instantly the man is back on his mobile.

"Okay", he cries, "he's definitely dead, now what do I do?"

It was voted one of the world's best jokes in an international survey!

One thing I've never done in Cyprus is go fishing. Er...on a boat. How is the fishing there? I might give it a shot next time I go if there are reputable charters...

a joke exactly, i didn't think this was a laughing matter. Under normal circumstances i would have laughed but i think this was well below the belt.

Sorry Pantheman, but I thought it funny! Of course everyone concerned is devestated, but the joke is still funny, even if the incident wasn't
