Greek Cypriot Kiriakos has returned to Kaplica where he lived before the Turkish intervension in 1974 saying "I can't wait for the nonexistent solution to Cypro".

Stating his belief that politicians will never find a solution to Cypro Kiriakos(aged sixtyeight) went back to live in his former village of Kaplica,population 250.
Kiriyakos often visited his old village since April 2003,and dreams of living and fishing there.

"I had an opportunity and I used it.I can't wait forever for a solution. My days are numbered.I don't believe politicians can solve Cypro.
"I live together with Turks and we don't have any problems.My family and grandchildren come to visit on weekends and we go fishing.I had no negative reaction from the Greek side."

Hasan Gungor:"He surprized us.We have no problems with our Greek guest.we go fishing and share and eat the catch together.we are pleased he has chosen to live with us."
Mustafa Demir:"This is great.The people will achieve what the politicians could not.People should live wherever they want."

This story just demonstrates how the Turks are trying to humiliate us. This person had to kiss the ass of the Turkish settlers that illegally occupy his home in order to let him live there for a while!

Girne is not a new name, any more than Levkosia is or Magusa. it's the villages that got renamed.
