And by the same token isn't Texting killing the art of conversation? Abbreviation (ab) being the vogue now?

And isn't e-mail killing the art of letter writing? Can you remember the last time you actually had a proper letter, paper and an envelope, from a friend, relative or loved one? Remember that special feeling of opening it and sitting and reading the hopes and desires, loves and losses, trials and tribulations that the sender had taken the time and effort to commit to paper with you in their hearts?

Woe is you that cannot remember that special feeling, and woe is me who can.

But it's the thought that counts.

That's why I think about writing a letter as I hit Send on my emails.

Hi Rawk - another good rule I read about for editing - if you want to make sure a text has no spelling mistakes, read it backwards, from the end to the beginning.

Your brain is forced to see individual words rather than quickly scanning (and then probably missing mistakes). I tried it, it works.

Great idea - I'm just about to do some proof reading. I'll give it a go. :D
