Hi souroul

> can anyone give me an insight on what you guys prefer? a mini-england? a remote village in the middle of butt f-ck nowhere, or one of the cities, which one and why.

If I'd wanted to live in a mini-England, I would have moved to Bournemouth!

We live on the edge of a village; Erimi - all our neighbours are Cypriot and we get on well. There is a (mainly) expatriate development half a mile away that's spreading :(

There are some practical issues about living in a remote village - shops, doctors, dentists, hospitals, etc. When you're still fit & active, this is not a problem. However as age takes it's toll, you may want to be nearer facilities.

Regards,

Where I live at the moment my neighbours are all Cypriot and they are lovely people too. One lady brought me a great big bag of oranges and lemons from her tree.
I am now learning the language, so I can communicate with those who do not speak English. :D

I did a lot of "Blue Water" cruising / sailing in the past, and there were two lovely young ladies on the boat with me, English and German, with similar thinking to yours. After 20 years, we are still friends and in touch with each other.

You would make a great "crew" on a sail boat with your great attitude.

We don't want to "HOG" all the "Love" in Cyprus. I believe in, "share, and share alike".

Why are the British people that live in Cyprus called 'expats' while other foreigners are called immigrants? :?
