Your are not being very clear were the soldiers GCs? were they at a crossing do their job? maybe they didnt want their pictures taken, its an offence to take someone picture without getting permission.

I can see perfectly well thank you, the first time i went to Cyprus, i went with a completely open mind, it was made up for me by my experiences there, so please do not be so condisending in your attitudes, i am after all a responsible adult perfectly capable of drawing my own conclusions and making my own decisions

To be honest, everyone has their view piont, and a lot on here who actually live in Cyprus are perhaps "to close" to the issues sometimes to look at this dispasionatlly

If steveash is a Brit then I'm the Pope. He is as Greek as Piratis. Read the above and spot the clue.

Anybody that saw occupation soldiers with guns in the occupied areas is having illusions. Of course such soldiers that are ready to kill anybody that dares to even go back to his own home are only part of the imagination of some people.

steveash, the Turks probably realized that they wouldn't sell to you one of the properties they stole from us and thats why they didn't care. If you have told them: "I would really like to buy cheaply some of the properties you stole from Greek Cypriots" then you would see how polite and nice and they would be to you.

In any case steveash there is no reason for you to argue with the likes of Viewpoint. Threre have been negotiations with Turks for ages and they refused to stop their illegalities. Now they are even willing to give up their EU accession instead of making even a small step that the EU is asking from them towards legality. You have expressed your support for legality, something that everybody should do, and that is more than enough.

It is common knowledge Greeks have difficulty with words such as TO, TOO, THEIR, THERE WERE, WHERE, the list is endless. Almost all Brits would have said "too close" as opposed to "to close" this mistake will convince many our friend is Greek.
