CYPRUS BURIAL

Postby miltiades » Wed Sep 27, 2006 8:19 pm

My dear friend mrfromng , has privately informed me of the death of his 61 year old
uncle having lost his battle with cancer at the Royal Free Hospital in London His uncle came to the UK in 1959 as a teenager.
It was his last wish that he should be buried in his beloved Cyprus , and mrfromng along with the family are flying to Cyprus tomorrow for the burial on Friday. Its particularly touching that a Turkish Cypriot who left Cyprus as a young teenager , wanted to return to his homeland for his final resting place.
I'm sure you will all join me in conveying our deepest sympathies to MRFROMNG and his family .

As one who has experienced the loss of a dear sister to cancer , and witnesses closely my wife's battle against this dreadful decease ., My deepest empathy.

I'm so sorry sorry to hear about your uncle mrfromng, (and your father andri-cy, it must have been so hard losing someone so close to you....:() my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. My dear grandfather died of cancer 5 years ago, and it was tough, as he was such a big presence in our family, but it's true what they say time's a healer. We will never forget him, but he stays in our hearts as I'm sure your uncle will stay in your heart and the hearts of your family!

Oh and Miltiades, give my best to your wife! She seems like a very strong lady!

Peace! :)
