Is your wife planning on working? What else can you do?

Hi beders

As as others will tell you, wages are very low here and much of the tourism (hotels/retsauarnts etc) close down in the east of the island, meaning here are many seasonal workers looking for jobs and will be prepared to work for MINIMAL wages. Be very sure before you commit.

We understand that the wages are not great and to tell the truth we are not bothered as long as we can earn anought to pay the rent and feed the family we would be happy.

beders I am sure that if you dont mind the low wages and all you will find something. You just need to be persistent.

Only Bludger's do not find work!

If you are willing to start from anywhere and work your way up, i can assure you, you have no problems.

An advice i would have given you was to perhaps plan to be there early in spring so you can capitalize on summer opportunities

It will not be easy to find a good job in winter. If somebody will hire you as a salesman for example he will want you for the whole year not just for winter.
