Statement of the RoC President at the 61st UN Gen. Assembly

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Alexis » Fri Sep 22, 2006 6:24 pm

Alexios, why do you waste your time arguing with the mentally retarded sick fanatic, whether partition is or is not the only way forward? Why don’t you just tell him to first go and convince the leadership of his own community which continues to claim that is only interested in a re-unifying solution, and then to come here and try to convince the GCs about it?

Bakkal, just go and convince Talat first that he should drop his goal and pledge that he only wants a re-unification solution, instead wasting our time by having us read your nonsense!

And by the way Bakkal, since you claim that partition is the only solution, can you also show us your map of Cyprus with the 18% of the territory that will be held by the TCs?

Idiot!

Hi Kifeas,

I try and limit my participation here to airing my views and occasionally providing reposts to other people's views. Although I get passionate about the subject I prefer to attack arguments rather than people (sorry if I sound like I'm sucking up to admin :) ). In this case I reject Bakala's arguments for the same reasons as you but I don't see what we gain from insulting other people however much we disagree with their point of view. The same goes when some TCs attack us rather than our arguments. Perhaps you are right and I am not going to get very far trying to convince partitionists that partition is not in Cyprus' best interests but I have actually learnt a lot from listening to some of these people's arguments.

Do not worry Alexios! There is nothing wrong in insulting a chauvinist fanatic and an opportunist and a thief of your country and your properties! I would say he is just lucky that he is not anywhere near me! These people support partition simply because in 1974 they stole from us 4 times more properties than the TC community has left in the south, they support partition as the “only way forward” simply because they stole the best 36% of our country and the 55% of our country’s coastlines, and they simply want to keep it all for themselves! That is why they propagandize partition, even though their community is only the 18% of the people. They are nothing more than asshole thieves, scums and crooks!

If in 1974, Turkey had occupied only 18% of the country or less, be sure none of them would have been propagandizing in favor of partition nowadays, and they would have been the first ones to be in favor of re-unification!

What's the matter, Kifeas, did the conversation get too civilised for you?

Personal insults and rudeness don't add anything to your already aggressive and incomprehensible postings.

Hi Kifeas,

I've just noticed your motto: "Cyprus is one, indivisible & belongs to its Cypriot people!"

I think this might be indicative of your slight grasp on facts.

Firstly, Cyprus is, at the very least, four (N, S, BritSovBases, UN).

Secondly, as is pretty well accepted by everyone everywhere it is actually divided at the moment.

Thirdly, whilst in the past Cypriots (as well as a fair few Brits) may have owned Cyprus we've now pimped out our island to all and sundry. Israelis, Arabs, Germans, the EU as well as ermmmm, even more Brits. Give it another five years or so and we'll all be in the minority and we certainly wont be owning much of this "corner-of-earth-touched-by-heaven".

Something in common at last. Maybe we can join together then as co-minorities - our tag: G&TCs (any lemon with that?).

That is weird because in a previous post on a different thread you asked someone else to stop with the "chauvinistic" I believe insults? Maybe I am wrong, but we cant we attack people's arguments and not their character? Just because someone is disagreeing with us, it doesnt make them chauvinistic, pigs, or whatever else. They are just people who disagree with us.

Same for you andri-cy, as above!

Do you understand Bakkala’s arguments? If you do, do you accept them as a basis for any discussion? Do you accept that the perpetuation and consolidation of more than 1/3 of the GC’s ethnic cleansing from their country and the permanent usurping of their properties and the usurping and destruction of their cultural identity, may constitute a basis on which to make a reasonable discussion with such a person that professes them, and a basis on which to exchange civilised arguments? If you do, then go ahead! I will only feel sorry for such a comedown of yours!
