Turkish Grand Prix org. have been fined a record $5 mil

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby GG » Wed Sep 20, 2006 3:49 pm

The £5m is just a formal telling off.

£5m in F1 terms is the equivalent of Bill Gates getting a parking ticket.

36. Overcoming the shortage of teachers created by the prolongation of compulsory education included short-term measures, such as pre- and in-service training. One obstacle to improving the status of teachers is low salaries, determined by rank in the civil service and affected by the generally low salaries. A teacher’s monthly salary in July 2001 ranged between US$ 122 and 283 (LT 170 to LT 397 million), which was in many places below the poverty line. During her mission, the Special Rapporteur was informed by the Ministry of Education that an average teacher’s salary in Ankara could be about LT 500 million, while newspapers reported the poverty line as LT 935 million for a family or four.

They are prepared to live in isolation and embargos just so as not to be exposed to GC domination and discrimination. Lets rethink this whole thing, maybe we should recognize this country....

everyone is upset because it was a stab in the back slimy move that you can only do by breaking FIA rules, thats why.

oh and, it seems that many int media use this phrase, including The Australian, Telegraph UK, BBC, CNN, and International Herald Tribune, which are the only ones i skimmed over

"Cyprus has been divided into a Greek Cypriot south, representing the island's internationally recognized government, and a Turkish Cypriot north since a Turkish invasion in 1974 that followed a failed coup by supporters of a union with Greece."

go check for yourself. if you call that positive exposure, you're either stupid or stupid. as a matter of fact, if you copy and paste the phrase in google and put it into brackets so it searches for the exact phrase, you'll get 232 media articles that only mention the F1 incident. Thats awsome news, its got exposure because it was the biggest fine ever, plus all the artcles are not crying out about how the world should feel bad about the TC's, but about the shit turkey does , and what it did to cyprus 32 years go.

well done, please do it again.

You really need to calm down and realize that if it has had no impact then you have nothing to worry about. Do you?

As for stab in the back you appear to be a hyprocite as it was your aim to bypass us and become part of Greece, we are fighting for the right to exist.

Your quote
"Cyprus has been divided into a Greek Cypriot south, representing the island's internationally recognized government, and a Turkish Cypriot north since a Turkish invasion in 1974 that followed a failed coup by supporters of a union with Greece."
clearly states there is a problem and the TCs are not happy living in union with GCs, this is enough to raise questions in any person with half a brain. Why on earth would these people want to break away and proclaim another country called the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus if there is a recognized country there appears to be made up of purely GCs. I wonder why?

That's the whole point let people make up their own minds, let them see we TCs exist even under isolation and embargoes. We are prepared to protest peacefully for the right have a voice. Would you rather we placed bombs to get the worlds attention?

You should question yourselves and ask why don't these people want to unite, why cant I see what they see and what am I doing wrong? Just try very hard to answer all these questions rather than making excuses because as time passes our voice will be heard much louder and then you will wish you had been more compassionate and understanding.

We know the difference dude, it's you who cannot see further than your nose. We know Turkey keeps the Standard of living of TCs a bit higher than that of Turkey. But between the figure you quoted and the figures of UN there is a huge difference, that cannot possibly be justified even by the 5 year backdate of the UN report.

So to enable you see further than your nose, in the absence of any UN data for "trnc" we do the following:

Take figures for Turkey

Adjust them a bit upwards.

Look we live in the north and have many friends who work for the governement, their salaries on average are around 2200ytl equals 1500usd they are better paid than the private sector. But as you know this is just an average there are many people who get less or way more than this but no lower than 600usd which is approx the national minimum wage.

This is first hand information why do you doubt what we are saying or do these figures make you uncomfortable?

Wow, the average is 600Usd? That is not a lot at all?
What's the average for the ROC?
And what is the cost of living on either side? Sorry this is off topic I am just curious. I cannot believe people manage to live on such low salaries.
