I think maybe people are taking it a little too seriously...

When I read it, I was actually chuckling because I could relate to some of the things written...I've always said, I'm a proud Greek and a proud Cypriot, and that I don't think it's right for people to be told to suppress their feelings of pride because of who they are....People haven't come on here saying, that they want to kill all Turks, or people of another nationality, in the name of hellenism because they are the superior race, or that they want Cyprus to be Greek and Greek only, with all other ethnicity's either suppressed or completely got rid of...

We all have things in common in the Med anyway..Whether your from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, etc...

Natty one of the most sensible posts I have read in this thread. I am sorry for everyone else if I have insulted you, however I do not think that beeing a proud Greek can stop me from beeing a proud Cypriot and a co-patriot with a Turkish Cypriot! Well I would love to see him beeing proud to be Turkish, because when you are proud of what you are you are always trying to reach the high standards that you have to keep beeing proud!

No Kifeas I am saying that I am proud that the Greek national teams has won those titles. Wouldn't the English be proud if the England team won Euro(by the way when was the last time they did?), aren't the italians proud of their team that won the world cup, aren't the americans proud of beeing the only nation that have walked on the moon? Is this nationalism? Are you saying that we should not be proud of Greeks winning and fighting to be the best. Should we just ignore them? Or should we learn from their example to put our standards higher?

For once i will agree with andri-cy and also add the following examples.

1. Should be taken as a joke
2. taken also between a serious and a joke.
3. For all those clever so called "Greek Cypriots" please check you passport and your identity card and your birth Certificate and advise us where do you read in all these three documents "Greek Cypriot" even as a reference
4. Learn by example. Our Cyprus president is addressed in all the international forums as the President of the Republic of Cyprus! "Not the President of the Greek Cypriot republic of Cyprus"
