Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Because they work for less money and can cause unemployment and because anything illegal is bad

Yes they can be more efficient and can work for less money but in fact they get more compared to those that are looking for every opportunity to exploit !

Necessary for what?

Necessary because no one else can do this work?

Necessary because no one else can do this work so cheaply?

Necessary because they keep wages at a low level?

Necessary to keep unemployment levels at current levels?

I am refering to all those "Electricians" , " Plumbers" "Contructors" who can charge per hour 5 times more compared to " the cheap labour "you had referred( imiigrants) The fact they charge less has nothing to do with the quality of the work that is done.

I was looking for a company to come and do something until my father introduced to me a Bangladesh guy who did the job in 1/4 of the cost and time!

I have introduced this guy to many others I know and to another Cypriot man who has a comnpany and employs people. And as far as I can see he is always busy and willing to work!

How are illegal immigrants and democracy related?

The illegal immigrants are mostly Arabs and Asians. Legal immigrants are from many countries like Sri Lanka, Philippines, Lebanon, UK, Russia, Poland and other EU countries. Until recently we had the most Asylum seekers per capita in the world http://www.cyprus-mail.com/news/main.php?id=18642

somehow, this is going to end up in an argument, and i am not about to argue with you Sotos. suffice to say that when you have a democracy, it is a temptation for those in far less "fortunate" countries...

No I dont think they are these imigrants who set the wage so low! In fact this is due to the greedy companies who use this tactic to maximise their welfare at the expense of their employees! This is wrong and unethical practice. These companies would never raise the wage even If there were no cheap labour .

Immigarnts also can work independently at the expense of these greedy companies and can force them to reduce the price they charge , otherwise they cant stay in business for long!
