No, this is not about a song by Sir Elton John. This is about some forum members having fun recreating the "Wizard of Oz", by playing different character roles from the film. I took the liberty in assigning some forum members to different roles, and it lasted 10 pages, before the thread was shut down by the Admin. I suppose they had their reasons (as usual), and I come to accept it, even though, most of us would have liked it to have continued. Life goes on, as the saying goes.

Today, I thought I take another look at the original post of the "Wizard of Oz" thread, before it disappears into the "graveyard of the unknown" of the cyberspace, and to my shock, I discovered the 3 main characters of the film, rolled to be played by one member only, had been "surgically" removed. I had couple of "PM's" with Admin about this today, and was made clear that, the removed characters will not be reinstated, due to request made by the member in question. Now, who ever comes across to the "Wizard of Oz" thread in the "cyberspace", will not have all the information to follow the next 10 pages, with a clear understanding, as to why, what was said and why. It will be like removing the first few pages of a book, or missing the opening scene to a detective story of "Colombo".

So, as I began to digest all this today, I was thinking if it's time to say goodbye to the "yellow brick road" and to Cyprus Forum. If some members on this forum are so fragile as to get their feeling hurt, and God forbid, they would lose their self confidence, that they would not be able to go through life, because they will always see themselves as the characters from a film, that I put them there, then perhaps it is best as not to participate in this forum. I can't say I have made up my mind yet, but I will definitely not be participating as actively as I have done for the last few months, so to allow certain members to build their confidence back up.

I have not edited nor locked any of your threads. I do not remember exchanging PMs with you either. I therefore assume that you are talking about Svetlana who is the moderator.

Recently we had an increase in personal attacks which is probably the reason why Lana had to delete, edit or lock some threads.

I hope that the more mature members of this forum will help us to reduce the amount of rule violations.

Kikapu, the fragile members are some of your friends that were the reasons I got warnings even though I was attacked first! If they or you can not handle it then you shouldn't attack others? I didn't ask Lana or Admin to lock your thread but I only told them that if your attack against me was acceptable then they should also allow my responses to you without giving me warnings this time. I will now start writing Peace at the end of each post.
