Freight Forwarders to Cyprus

Postby lynne9999 » Mon Sep 18, 2006 2:37 pm

Hi
We are moving to Cyprus in February and have been recommended to use Mondial or Andrews shipping, I have phoned up for quotes and they seem really cheap compared to others. Has anyone use them, and would you recommend them. Or do you have another company we could try.
Look forward to your replies
Thank you

I used Mondial and was more than happy with them. Found them very cheap and very helpful, apart from the miserable git that bought them to my flat in Cyprus, though in all fairness, he was on his own in the middle of August (2 years back) is a truck that I'd imagine had no aircon!

Still, would definitely use them again as I had NO breakages and they were cheap!

Hazza

Thanks for that, Mondial are very cheap that is why I was worried, but it looks that we will use them. We are heading to Protaras.
Thanks

hi lynne9999, glad to see you've sorted that out.As i said we are moving early '07. we have sold virtually all our furniture with the plan to buy new with the exception of a dozen or so boxes of sentimentals. Have you considered bringing a vehicle with you? A friend of mine moved to the Cape Greko area Sept. '05 and put his Mercedes into a 40foot container along with his furniture and shipped the lot for a couple of thousand pounds. Anyway, hope all goes well whatever.

Hi Mark
Thank you for your reply, we decided to buy all new hear and ship over as when we were in Cyprus earlier this year we couldn't find what we wanted. The furniture we could afford look very cheap and then there seemed to be a leap up in price for the nice stuff. Who did your mate use for his Mercedes?
Good Luck with everything, where abouts are you going to?
Thanks
Lynne

Hi Lynne, my friend used a company based in Northenden, Manchester. Next time i speak to him i'll see if i can get an address/number. We are moving to Deryneia, which is 10 mins by car from Protaras. The house is now finished but we have a lot of loose ends in England to tie up so it will be about 6 months before we get there. Can't wait, can you?Where in Protaras are you going to live? Bye for now Mark&Sandra.
