So, we're all the same... (according to research)

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)
Who ever said that Settlers are the new TCs? Settlers are settlers not TCs even if settlers are more!
Turkey, USA and Britain if the Annan Plan is anything to go by. We rejected the Annan Plan! I hear you say; well I can't see these parties (especially Turkey) giving up that easily, can you?

I don't think they said that those settlers are TCs. They said that some of them will stay in Cyprus but not that they are TCs! If a Greek from Greece lives in Cyprus he is still not Greek Cypriot. The same with Turks!

Sotos, if they say they are allowed to stay in Cyprus, then there is no real practical difference as they will become TCs.

Karmal, I will reply to you tomorrow, it is getting late.
According to Turkish-Cypriot newspapers, over one third of Turkish Cypriots emigrated from the occupied area between 1974-1995 because of the economic and social deprivation, mainly a result of the ongoing international embargo on the TRNC. On the contrary, some Turkish settlers from Anatolia moved to the island, whose number reached around 115.000 (2001 figures), which is in fact a violation to the Geneva Conventions Protocol of 1977 since the Turkish occupation has been declared illegal by the UN. As a result the Turkish Cypriots who remain are today outnumbered by the Turkish security forces together with the settlers.[
Here is one account from Wikipedia. Note there was 115,000 settlers in 2001. Today, there is even more.

As I have said previously, the independent research I will post tomorrow, when I have more time.
