My wife, me and my 2 young children are planning on moving to South Cyprus, Famagusta area mid next year, how hard will it be to find a job in my field of specialityof SEO and PPC? and any idea of the wages that are being paid in this sector of the market

In Cyprus such sector does not exist. I bet most people here will not even understand what you are talking about. Maybe some companies will need your kind of services but if thats all you know I don't think you can get a company to hire you full time. Definitely not in Famagusta area! You should try Nicosia or Limassol but even there it will be hard

cheers for that, we are only going to be based in the Famagusta area, but traveling will not be a problem, i was more so wondering if their was any call for this type of service over in Cyprus , as its just starting to take off very quickly here in the UK but i would much rather work in Cyprus if at all possible and get out of the government run rat race that the UK is becoming

Cyprus is usually some years behind in that sort of things. There are not many companies that are looking to hire a person dedicated for that kind of job. You will have to be able to sell yourself and convince them to hire you. I suspect it is not going to be easy. What kind of salary are you looking for?

as long as i have enough to pay the rent for me and the wife and 2 small kids and a bit left over then its not a major concern to me, im just suprised as my company has had SEO specialists come to see us and their initial fee is £6000 (UK) and then £500 a day for SEO work, if i can clear £850 cyprus £'s a month then i will be happy or am i being unrealistic here?

850 is sensible but it will still be hard to find that kind of job in Cyprus Do you think 850 will be enough for a family of 4? How much do you make now?

I work for a SEO company here in Limassol it's a Israel company. The main HQ is there but they just set up a smaller company here which is where i am. £850 is quite unrealistic if you ask me im a graphic / web designer - in the uk i was making £1500+ a month at age of 18-20. Now i get £650 a month which is based on Cyprus wages.

I went thru an agency here which are extremely good called GRS Global Recruitment Solutions, they found me quite a few jobs and 2nd interview i got a job. SEO is very popular around the area i am in (off the strip, near zoo) but none of them are run by Cypriots. It's getting better over here in IT but many people that come over here in a country already big in IT most people are over qualified/educated. Sometimes you have to take what you can get and you dont spend as much here as in the uk anyway.

Cheers for the info Newformz, if that is the case then i will seriously consider setting up my own SEO and PPC company once in Cyprus as i don't have to work for Cypriot companies but more treat it as a base.
I am very good at what i do as i have been doing SEO for the last 5 years and PPC for 4 years
At £650 a month, that is low wages in any ones book, that would only equate to £10,000 UK wages, even if the cost of living in Cyprus was 30% lower than here in the UK, those sore of wages would not be good.
Looks like i will have to some further advanced planning
