Of course he will not. Some people are nostalgic of the good old Denktash times. Talat is a good Cypriot!

i do not share the same view about talat. he really disappointed me lately.
but with the current development i would say that he rather strnghten his position - he doesnot need serdar anymore.

the question that i still have, is that if turkey is involved why would they want serdar out ?

He is causing to many waves with regards to going back to the table. Turkey does not want us to be seen as the side not willing to compromise at this critical juncture so shes taking no chances with Serdar. Serdar out new breakaway party in, lets see how things develop.

So Viewpoint all the trouble is to get Serdar out? Thats a good sign if its so.

I am not sure how this "coallition" worked anyway. So with Serdar out of this coallition, it is my understanding that Talat also loses majority? What happens then ,new elections?

NB. Turkey has the power to intervene there, and thats very worrying. I heard they poured to many millions to buy those MPs out.

And Bananiot I told you a thousand times to stop creating ghosts, and stop fighting with the ghosts you created.
"some people are nostalgic of Denktash imish". What you mean some people? Stop these stupid insinuations. If you want to say something to me say it directly.

It is a well known fact that in the occupied Denktash still has about 30% of the vote. I don't care. I am a GC and I dont like Denktash one bit. Talat did not prove any better though. In fact his only difference with Denktash seems to be he doesn't know how to achive partition, whereas Denktash knew.

The coallition did not really work, there were always problems, Serdar was always the key party and other parties were forced to work with him although they found him very nationalistic and unpredictable at times. Now Soyers party has thrown that yoke off they need the majority in the house, so with their 25 of 50 seats and the new 5/6 breakaways they will be able to progress. Lets see how this new formation will shape up and handle the Cyprus issue. Turkey is appraoching a very sensative time over the coming months with regards to the EU so she has to take steps that will not effect her negatively. I personally feel the ports for ports issue is going to be hammered out as a way around this impass, lets see who gives in first Greek Cypriot Cyprus or Turkey.

Dont worry about Talat he has more support than even and most TCs are surprised that you have not been able to make better use of his pro solution/reunification stance. Maybe he is not the problem and your leaders just want to blieve he is and persuade you accordingly.

I noticed at the reportfromcyprus Talat is now trying to form a new coallition cooperating with UBP?????

Thats the party of Eroglu isn't it?

So, what does this mean, are you leading towards a "less wave" or to a "more wave" situation Viewpoint?
