great photos! But can that be classifieds as eclipse? The shadow of earth barely touches the moon!

Yes, it can. Its a partial (prenumbral) eclipse. Doesnt matter how much of the Moon is covered :-)

Thanks very much Astroboy,

I'm thinking of purchasing a telescope and was wondering whether you have any recommendations. I'm looking at a Meade Starfinder EXT125EC (with idiot's autofinder - necessary for me I'm afraid). Any views?
