Now that the Orams have won, what does the future hold ?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Hey Pyrpolizer, it's great to hear a statement like that, especially from someone old enough to have lived through all the troubles. Evidently the people that say that Cypriots were quite happily living together for hundreds of years (including me :D ), were/are right!

Is the Mosque that is to be renovated situated in the South?

Peace! :)

I beleive we have to consider what kind of people are those who buy stolen GC properties and what kind of people are those who profit from that.
They are all people of low morals. Nothing matters for them just only to make profit on other peoples missery. They are the same kind of people who are waiting for people be killed to steal their watches and money. We saw this happening in Lebanon lately. These people exist everywhere, in the UK among the TCs as well as among the GCs. Yes I even heard of GCs helping in the sale of stolen GC land in the occupied...

Hello Natty,

I beleive I will start calling you the "Hey" woman of the forum.
The mosque has already been renovated. The Imam came for the celebration of its delivery. TCs were kissing his hand when he came.... just like we kiss the hands of our priests.
The only difference is after kissing his hand they were also bringing it to their forehead-i beleive you have seen this gesture sometime.

What surprised me is the clear mind of this man, although he seemed very old, he spoke excellent English, very very clearly.

Dhali and Potamia are in the free areas and they are next to each other. And yes they are mixed villages. Suprisingly not many people or media refer to them for being mixed and people living happily, it seems Pyla the other mixed village gets most attention and references.

Viewpoint where are you? Why don't you go ask those TCs in Dhali and Potamia whether they are treated like second class citizens or something?

Now about the tittle of this topic.

The selling of stolen GC properties will just add another fatal mistake to the list of fatal mistakes already done by the TC leadership. The problem is the TCs go along with these mistakes propably thinking there is nothing they can do, or simply because 1/3 of them are clearly partitionists.

1st fatal mistake: They thought they could grab 37% of Cyprus, create their own state on theft without consequences.
2nd fatal mistake: Just 9 years after all the noise regarding the 1974 invasion calmed, they declared the so called "trnc"
3rd fatal mistake: Law 159 of the pseudo.
4rth fatal mistake:The import of too many settlers.
5th fatal mistake:The current selling.

All these produced temporary/short term benefits to the TCs. The long lasting effect will be that there is NO FUTURE FOR THEM OR THEIR CHILDREN in their own Country.

The property selling will one day stop. here will be nothing left for their children. Then what?

Thanks for finding this Pyrpolizer.

A very wise old man , it makes me proud to share , along with thousands of others , his sentiments , he has my deepest respect and he is indeed our brother just as the thousands of T/Cs are.

I dont think they worry too much about a settlement Lysi. With fascist ding-bats like yourself around there's as much chance of a settlement as you converting to Islam, taking up TRNC citizenship and calling yourself Fatma.

So if the orams gave the piece of land back that they stole, what would apostilides do with it?

Nothing, zero, zip, nada until the cyprus problem is resolved, and then he will get his land back anyway, so wtf is he bothering to waste a fortune in courts on a case that even if he wins will achieve nothing...

Except maybe get him some financial compensation that he cannot get any other way legally...

Surely he just wants his citrus grove back?.....how sad and romantic...(although it would be much more cost effective for him to pop down the road to Orphanides and get a basketful when he needs a few lemons... save what few CP's he's got left eh? )

I will say again , with friends like you who needs enemies.

Let all those who have read the outbursts of a deranged individual , note that the huge majority of Greek Cypriots are law abiding peace loving sensible family people jus as their Turkish Cypriot compatriots are , both share the aspiration of a united Cyprus where justice for all prevails and the law guarantees the human rights and integrity of all citizens.

The Orams were unwise , just as many investors make errors of judgement so did they . To talk of murder is a disgrace and runs parallel with the actions of the terrorists that kill indiscriminately in order to promote their cause.

Cyprus has a history stretching back thousands of years , a history that our nation can be proud of , our people through the ages have been hard working family orientated , peaceful people , we have no history that includes savagery ., barbaric actions , indiscriminate killings to promote our ideology.
The Cypriots , Greek and Turkish , lived together for hundreds of years happily interacting and integrating , living next door to each other , eating , drinking celebrating together , who are these individuals that propose that our people are strangers to each other and can not live in peace together again , the likes of ROLO and VP , what do they stand to gain by their infuriating persistence that they are a different nation , that partition is the only solution ? Isolation will continue , non-recognition will continue , some T/Cs will gain but the vast majority will loose out or emigrate .
VP GET IT IN YOUR HEAD .Cyprus , all of it , belongs to the Cypriots , stop this nonsense you keep bringing up , try the reconciliation route you may like it.

Hello earth calling miltiades, come down to earth and reality. You are living in the past. You have 2 people living seperately for 32 years and you still dream about a Cypriot people, well to achieve this you have to have 2 communities with one vision and you just havent got the basic elements necessary. We have all changed we want different things, you to dominate the whole island based your numerical imbalance and us who want self determination. You are oil we are water do they mix???
