Now that the Orams have won, what does the future hold ?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

How does that work with Larnaca Airport - built on Turkish Cypriot land? Or the housing estates built on Turkish Cypriot land in Episkopi village but with deeds issued by the EOKA led RoC government to Greek Cypriots and Brits?

Aaah, that's different!!!!

I havent read all theposts but it should now be evident that no settlement will ever be found in a court of law. So if you really want a settlement then urge your politicians to sit down and bang out a sollution. if they dont get some who will.

The people who built on it have to pay fair market price to the owner if he is willing to sell it and they are still screwed.

New here so bare with me, let me get this right at some time in the future GCs will get there olive & orange groves back but now they want 50k per donum as opposed to the £300 per donum it was worth in !974. Dream on. IMHO what gives the GCs the ache is that they can see the TCs making big bucks and they want a piece of the action. if the land were still worth £300 per donum you would'nt here a peep out of them.

The government takes land from Gc's too to build roads etc. They of course compensate them but I am supposing the same will or should happen with the people that owned the airport land. And before you say something pretending to know what is going on, I have family that lost land to the government. My cousin actually had just built his house when they decided they needed that land to build a highway on. The same happens in the US and a lot of other countries.

SOTOS WROTE:

"""It is not murder. It is the death penalty. Orams are criminals. They refused to obey our court ruling so now their sentence is increased to the death penalty. Good honest people die every day. Why do you care about those criminals? Because you British support each other even the criminals, like your court did? """"

I will say again , with friends like you who needs enemies.

Let all those who have read the outbursts of a deranged individual , note that the huge majority of Greek Cypriots are law abiding peace loving sensible family people jus as their Turkish Cypriot compatriots are , both share the aspiration of a united Cyprus where justice for all prevails and the law guarantees the human rights and integrity of all citizens.

The Orams were unwise , just as many investors make errors of judgement so did they . To talk of murder is a disgrace and runs parallel with the actions of the terrorists that kill indiscriminately in order to promote their cause.

Cyprus has a history stretching back thousands of years , a history that our nation can be proud of , our people through the ages have been hard working family orientated , peaceful people , we have no history that includes savagery ., barbaric actions , indiscriminate killings to promote our ideology.
The Cypriots , Greek and Turkish , lived together for hundreds of years happily interacting and integrating , living next door to each other , eating , drinking celebrating together , who are these individuals that propose that our people are strangers to each other and can not live in peace together again , the likes of ROLO and VP , what do they stand to gain by their infuriating persistence that they are a different nation , that partition is the only solution ? Isolation will continue , non-recognition will continue , some T/Cs will gain but the vast majority will loose out or emigrate .
VP GET IT IN YOUR HEAD .Cyprus , all of it , belongs to the Cypriots , stop this nonsense you keep bringing up , try the reconciliation route you may like it.

The imam of Lefka/Lefke one of the highest TC relegious people, a very old man at his 80s, was present yesterday at the ceremony for renovation af the mosque at Dhali (costed 150,000 pounds).

This is what he said in perfect English:
"we are Cypriots, we are brothers, we lived together for centuries in peace, until Sheyttan came and made troubles"
Sheyttan=Devil
