Now that the Orams have won, what does the future hold ?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Kifeas

I am not celebrating in the sense that you are referring to, that is as you suggest, gloating. There has been a lot of confusing discussions here as to what the results of an appeal will be. I am just clarifying the fact that the case cannot be reversed. It is now just a case of how much money will change hands.

Kifeas what you dont realize is that no one is celebrating, we all relieved that this problem has been put on hold until we work out a comprehensive solution which is the only was to clear this mess up if we want to reunite. In the meantime these individual cases do not serve any purpose but to encourage false hopes.

Viewpoint, I asked Zan to give me an answer to a very specific question, becasue I have reasons to beilive that Zan does celebrate. If you meant to give me an asnwer in the place of Zan, at least do so on the basis of what I have actually asked him.

Kifeas its an open forum, anyone can join in if u want to keep it private them you can PM him....but ill try to stay out in future.

I welcome any input from you who ever I am talking to.

In a celebratory sense though, I can now celebrate that the investment in the TRNC can continue, in a region that very much needs it. I can celebrate that another attempt at bypassing the process of talks has failed and, if you take into consideration my past discussions with Kifeas, I can celebrate the fact that this has pissed him off.

I am not talking about what the results of an appeal may or will be, but only about the results of the already obtained and existing judgment. In my view, and as I indicated in another thread based on the judgment, the Orams and the rest of the British in the north have lost more than they earned from this ruling. It was verified and accepted by the British high court that their "investments" in the north were essentially made on stolen properties and on the basis illegal and false assumptions and representations, and that the GCs continue to remain the only legal owners of those properties. Essentially the only thing the Orams have “won” is to (perhaps temporarily) escape with impunity.

VP, I did not dispute your right to participate in the discussion. I only said that in doing so you should at least try to stay on track, and more importantly, do not try to throw all the rest of us off track!

Now what do I say to that? should I let rip with just the same amount of arrogance and pompous rudeness or should I just refrain from stooping to such a level. I wonder.

I think Kifeas has a monopoly on those attributes Viewpoint. You will never match him in his prowess.

Sotos I appreciate that you are feeling that injustice has occured......and it has..........I don't understand how the Orams can sleep at night knowing that the land they've built their home was stolen from someone else... irrelevant of that persons ethinicity...... is the lawyer who assisted them in blatently stealing this land a terrosist?
