Why don't you back off Lysi,

He/She speaks aloud what EVERY GC really feels but in many cases don't have the balls to say it.

He/She has been consistant in His/her attacks on the british (we have freedom of speach right - unlike in turkey!) without bowing to the clever worded postings that try to put him/her down.

You can ban this person, but he/she won't go away, I sometimes wish that more GC could be like lysi then that way we won't have to say thank you when we get shafted by the british and turkish over the cyprus problems.

The stuff Lysi says , i agree , can be strong at times, but when you have been kicked in the nuts, spat on, Sh#t on and then expected to be appreciative, then, what do you expect.

To Lysi i say don't listen to these people, they just don't like to be told they are wrong and if you want to express yourself then do so.

To the other forum readers i say Lysi has a right to free expression, the attacks are against perpertrators of the STOLEN GC land, direct attacks only come when you yourselves insult him/her first.

My parting words are, all troops out of cyprus (british and turkish), Turkey out of cyprus, Cyprus is for the CYPRIOTS, long live a free cyprus.

Oh please, that's complete BULL. I am Cypriot, and I certainly do NOT feel the same way Lysi feels!

People like Lysi give Cypriot people a bad name. I certainly do NOT want there to be more people like lysi. If that was the case, then Lana and Admin would have to work full time deleting posts that are of an insulting nature. Noone said that Lysi doesn't have the right to express herself here. She has the same rights as every member of this forum. However, she abuses those rights, and only posts when she has something nasty to say. She insults EVERY British person, and calls people names. It is quite apparent to many people here that Lysi is nasty, and lacks social skills. The scary thing is... she is a grown woman!

If you have a problem with the British government, then feel free to contact them. Voice your opinions to the appropriate people. Unhappy that there are British bases on this island? Fair enough... make some banners and stand outside the bases with Matsakis, and tell the British to leave. Just don't come here and ruin it for the people that contribute intelligent discussions to this forum. If you feel so strongly about the British being here, then why don't you do something about it? Stop ranting insanely on the forum because it won't solve anything. It will only make people cringe at what you have to say.

This is precisely why I have given up on the Animal Cruelty thread. I can make a million postings about it, but nothing will change. However, I will continue to rescue dogs when I can, and think of ways to help the cats and dogs of Cyprus. This way, I am actually doing something about it, instead of ranting relentlessly on a public forum, with everything I say falling on deaf ears.

You want the Turkish and British out of Cyprus, yet the practise over here is to sell your property at extortionate prices, to any foreigner that's will ing to pay the money, rather than selling it to your own people, at reasonable prices!?!?!

Get real, the poor (literally now) Mr Apostolides tried and look where it got him. The british government doesn't give a rats arse about cyprus, only in so much to keep bases on it to listen to the arabs.

As for property prices, what the hell this has got to do anything with this thread, you only know (perhaps distempter or something) But suffice to say, if they are stupid enough to pay it, then they deserve everything they get.

Just carry on you good doggy work, and leave the politics to others.

Are you forgetting that the UK is the home of some 250 thousand Cypriots , most of them have done very well for them selves , most have been involved or contributed to the Cyprus cause over the years, a great deal of them have happily interacted and forged close bonds with the British people , and a lot of us are highly critical of the British Governments' actions just as the natives are.( I ought to add here that we do not commit suicide to promote our cause like the savages that proclaim they love death more than we love life.)
The attitude you have does not serve the interests of your country one bit , you tend to think that because we were wronged by a superpower that somehow to put things right we have to distance ourselves from a nation that contributes vastly to the well being of every man woman and child in Cyprus. I'm pleased that your ideology is not shared by the decision makers and the influential people of Cyprus , who fully appreciate what a disaster it would be for Cyprus if the Brits packed up and headed North.
Talking about North , the Oram case springs to mind.The decision of the British judge , in a layman's language , was that the court was not empowered to confiscate the Orams's property in the UK. It did not sanction the purchase of G/C property in the North by the Brits or any one else.

Finally , unless we all realize that the T/Cs have as much right to be in Cyprus as all other Cypriots , and appreciate that concerns raised by them are debatable within an atmosphere of good will , a solution will be that much harder to come .Our land was invaded by a foreign country , as far as they are concerned this Foreign country was their saviour . Lets us stretch out and embrace them as our compatriots and as our equals in all political , cultural , sporting and civil events and in time their perceived saviour will be become redundant.
